Mike Reardon, former Czech and Russian linguist who served at Rhein-Main in the late 1950s-early 1960s, died 21 February 2005 of a massive brain hemorrage. He had gone into the hospital for an angiogram and had a stint put in. It seems the blood thinners they put him on for the surgery caused the hemorrage.

Mike spent his post-Air Force career in law enforcement, retiring as the county sheriff in Los Angeles, California.

He was a resident of Paradise, California at the time of his death.
