Robert Canavan, 62, of Ellenton, FL died Monday, May 9th in
Chattanooga, TN. Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY, and retired from the Air
Force after 20 years as a Russian linguist. He took early retirement
from Niagara Mohawk where he worked as a computer technician at Nine
Mile Point Unit 1.
Bob is predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Alice (Fallon) Canavan,
and his wife, Patricia. He is survived by his son John, daughter-in-law
Andrea, grandson Andrew, and granddaughter Leah, of Safety Harbor, FL;
by his brother, Vincent of Miami, FL, and by his dear friends, Carolyn
Heuerman, Scot, Amanda, Isabella and Bennett Cannell, of Chattanooga.
Calling hours will be Friday, 5/13/05 5pm to 8pm at the Edward J. Ryan
& Son Funeral Home. Services will be at the funeral home Saturday
5/14 at 10am. Burial will be in the Veteran’s Cemetery.
ADDED: Bob's flying assignments include Rhein-Main and Kadena. A couple
of Bob's other assigments include AFSCC at Kelly and Wakkanai...Bob
also served as an instructor at Goodfellow. Sadly, another of the
"greatest bunch of unsung heros"...gone, but not forgotten! RIP Bob
