WUCHER, JEROME M. "Jerry"
Died on July 13, 2004 at the age of 68. A native of Queens, New York, Jerry moved to Venice, Florida three years ago from Fairfax, Virginia.
Jerry graduated from the Citadel in 1957 and served in the USAF for 28 years, retiring as a full colonel in 1985. In the course of his much decorated career, he served in many postings, including Vietnam, Turkey, France, Taiwan and Germany.
Following his retirement from the USAF, Jerry worked for the Department of Defense and subsequently for Aegis Research Corporation.
His wife, Marcia; children, Robert, Karen, Tom, John, James and Edward; six grandchildren, his brother, Joseph and sister, Joan, survive him.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at PRICE FUNERAL HOME, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 1 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2004 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Rd., Manassas, VA with Rev. Robert C. Cilinski, officiating. Interment 11 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2004 at Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, S. Sarasota County Unit, 2100 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite A, Venice, FL 34293 in memory of Jerry Wucher.
