George Roger Dumas, age 73, of Hondo, TX, passed away, March 28, 2008 in Hondo.

Roger was born January 8, 1935 in Springfield, MA. Survivors include his wife, Elodia Dumas of Hondo; daughter, Tina Targy and her husband Steve of Bellevue, NE; son, Robert De La Garza of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Natalie, Will, Valerie, Julie and Maggie Targy; brother, William N. Dumas and his wife Marge.

The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will open at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. First met Roger on my return from Berlin...when assigned to Brooks AFB...circa '65. In later years...sometime during '73-'76...flew a few missions with him while he was assigned to the 16th and 49; I was with Hqs/DOR. One of the VERY BEST!
