Lt. Col. Curtis E. “Gene” Swan, USAF (Ret.), born December 25, 1919 in New Salem, PA, went to live in his Heavenly home with his risen Lord, Saturday, June 2, 2001 at the age of 81. Gene was a generous and thoughtful person who lived a life of service to others. He was dedicated to his family, friends, and God. He served his country proudly for over 40 years, culminating his career as a US Air Force officer and a civil servant for the Air Intelligence Agency for over 27 years. He was also a proud member of the Rocky Mountain Masonic Lodge of Cheyenne, Wyoming for 50 years. Gene lived a life dedicated to his faith and played a very active role in his church, Oak Hills Presbyterian Church, since 1960. Gene is survived by his wife, Wilmot J. “Billie” Swan. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in August. He is also survived by his daughter, Bonnie L. Wilson; sons, Curtis E. Swan II and wife, Kathy; Patrick A. Swan and wife, Susan; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandsons.
