Barry Matthews (USAF Ret), age 68, passed away Thursday, May 14th, 2009.

Barry Matthews, (USAF Ret.) born on August 13, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his father William A. Matthews, son Kevin M. Matthews. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Brenda Matthews, son Stephen Matthews wife Rosie, mother Sylvia Matthews, sisters, Dolores Battle husband Charles, Lori Sanders husband Darrell, five grandchildren Kymberly, Kevin, Jr., Vanessa, Victoria, and Valerie Matthews. Barry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and retired as a CMSgt from the U.S.A.F. In 2007 he was inducted into the Freedom Through Vigilance Assoc Hall of Honor for his service to his country.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Lewis Funeral Home 811 South W.W. White Rd, San Antonio, TX. The Funeral Service will be held at The Funeral Home Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:30 AM with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
